COMUNICADO OFICIAL DE LA BANDA:

"After 24 years, eight albums and hundreds of live shows across 30 countries, we have finally come to the end of the road. We in the band -Tobias, Urban, Erik and Peter - have made the collective decision to end VOMITORY by the end of 2013. It has been a blast on all accounts, but all good things come to to an end, and for Vomitory it is now.

We will still play as many shows as possible during 2013, and we hope to see as many of you fans as possible there, so we can thank you for your true support during all these years!"

Con sus últimos trabajos en 2011 que incluyeron el álbum "Opus Mortis VIII", la compilación "Raped in Their Own Blood / Redemption" y el DVD "Dead&Drunk - Live", grabado por el propio sello de la banda y grabado en Nöjesfabriken, Karlstad. Suecia durante su 20 aniversario. La banda se despide este año sin señalar que harán sus miembros actuales.

Al menos, el bataco Tobías Gustafsson se encuentra en The Project Hate MCMXCIX, y Torture Division donde seguramente seguirá dedicado al metal extremo.

Una de sus últimas noticias es la reedición de "Revelation Nausea" (2001) y "Blood Rapture" (2002) que saldrán en vinilo por primera vez para finales de marzo a través de Cyclone Empire Records; en un tiraje limitado a 500 copias con poster incluido.
