Participando en los festivales más cabrones como el Hellfest (Francia), Graspop Metal Meeting (Bélgica), Glastonbury Festival (Inglaterra), Rock im Park (Alemania), Monsters of Rock (Argentina), 

Septiembre 30, zarpa el Motörboat, un crucero donde participan SLAYER, ANTRAX, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, EXODUS y otras bandas.
Agosto 28, se publica "Bad Magic", su álbum número 22 para celebrar los 40 años de historia que la banda ha construido desde 1975.

Diciembre 18, dan a conocer el ahora último video oficial para el tema When the Sky Comes Looking for You. Paradójicamente, se trata sobre la llegada de la muerte.

Diciembre 24, cumpleaños número 70 de Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister.

Diciembre 28, se anuncia la muerte de de Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister.

Soy de 1977, nací después de que MOTÖRHEAD empezara a hacer su propio camino en el rock n´roll... los conocí mucho después, para mi adolescencia en el ´91 cuando SEPULTURA hizo el cover de Orgasmatron. Desde ahí comencé a seguirle la pista, hacia atrás con sus primeros discos, los álbumes en vivo, las compilaciones y todo ese peculiar y desmadroso metal creado desde su bajo y tras una botella de whiskey.

Un puto ícono sin duda, una gran influencia para un chingo de grandes personajes y bandas alrededor del planeta. Este es un día triste, no cabe duda, pero aunque suene jodido, su legado permanece y continuará tocándose a todo volumen.
