La banda underground de black metal KAVRA, enraizada en la península yucateca de México, hace una solemne revelación anunciando que para el 2012, editará un LP de un solo lado, bajo el sello Prison Tatt Records, por si fuera poco, también verá la salida de un demo vía Depressive Illusions Records. El siguiente eslabón en su discografía será el demo que ya tiene título "Ignis Fatuus", el cual será lanzado a través del sello ucraniano Depressive Illusions (link), que continuarán el trabajo de los anteriores "Absurdo" (2004) y "Negro Spellclouds in the Vault of Holocaustwinds" (2010).
Este año la banda sacó vía Wohrt Records su primer larga duración en formato tape "Extraños días de Pandra", con 45 minutos de su peculiar metal extremo, influenciados por el viejo black/death/doom/thrash de la escena (85-93), así como la fiereza del ochentero hardcore punk americano, y la soledad del mas experimental anti-música atemporal.
A continuación reproducimos un fragmento de la nota que Janet Willis realizó sobre el sello Wohrt Records en el sitio METAL MANIACS: "...Kavra, although their limited catalog is sold out, is exactly what many of us need for our bleak survival. They waver perfectly between: the really experimental black metal stuff (URFAUST, TODESSTOSS, DEAD REAPTILE SHRINE); classic raw and obscure black metal (FIMBUL, CARRION WRAITH, AKITSA, CELESTIAL) with the ultra muddy and woodsy foggy feeling, almost psychedelic in parts as that chainsaw riffs cut through the misty film of distortion corroding the mix into some hollow vault of darkness where it belongs; and dark ambient that combines some of the excursions of LUSTMORD, the epic 15+ minute haze of “Steel of Elitism and Blood” (fans of acts like LUSTMORD, YEN POX, NEKRASOV, DESIDERI MARGINIS, etc. will go into orgasmic convulsions over this one)...".
